Manufacturing Engineering Manager 

 

We are searching the right professional for one of multinational company in automotive, located in Ploiesti (Prahova county). We need a strong and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager for a mid-sized plant (> 500 employees); he / she will report directly to the Plant operations Manager of the Company and will coordinates ~ 30-40 people (engineers and technicians).


The goals

Responsible for  the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering department : methods implementation, tools, jigs and fixtures management , equipment maintenance and improvement, product and tooling cost estimates, work simplification and methods improvements.        

Participates in New Project or Changes project planning, building program, material flow, and facility utilization activities.            

Manages CAPITAL EXPENDITURES in the organization and Business plan planning and execution for own area activity implementation.             

Oversees all Maintenance and Tool Room functions and assures completion of all preventive maintenance and key action items.

 

Main requirements/ criteria:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical area (IE ME or other related) with 5 - 7 years Engineering  experience, at least, and at least 2 years of experience in managing people).
  • Experience in automotive industry represents an advantage – knowledge of Kaizen systems, process improvement tools.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in the areas of developing and managing performance for results.
  • Experience interfacing with engineering and/or other product teams as a part of a solution-based process.     
  • Ability in creating manufacturing methods that are well-developed, characterized, bounded and repeatable.
  • Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement background.     
  •  Good understanding of basic financial analysis; experienced in  investment budget coordination.
  •  Knowledge of automated equipment design and utilization.                                     
  • Digital competence (Very good computer knowledge – Microsoft Office package, databases).  
  • Advanced in English.
